Mouse kidney section labeled with NKCC2 and Aquaporin-2 antibody

FFPE section of C57BL/6 mouse kidney was labeled with NKCC2 antibody (green) and Aquaporin-2 antibody (Red).

Experimental condition: Mouse kidney was fixed with formalin and embedded with paraffin. Paraffin sections were hydrated and treated with antigen retrieval buffer. Primary and secondary antibodies were incubated with the fixed section in the presence of fetal bovine serum and Tween-20.

NKCC2 antibody: BiCell Scientific Cat No: 20301; Aqp2: BiCell Scientific Cat No: 20102rs.

Observation: NKCC2 proteins are found in the luminal membrane of the epithelial cells making the tubules in the loop of Henle. Aqp2 proteins are found in the luminal membrane of the epithelial cells making the tubules in the collecting duct. Note that NKCC2 and Aqp2 proteins are not in the same type of tubules.
